Stomatological Education Forum in The First Global Chinese Conference of Dentistry Hosted by West China School of Stomatology, SCU.
The stomatological education forum in the first global Chinese stomotology conference was held in Xiamen, a beautiful seashore city, in December 1, 2010 and made a great success. This glittering forum was hosted by our college, co-hosted by College Teaching Steering Committee for Stomatology of Ministry of Education and Committee for Education Affair of Chinese Stomatological Association, and chaired by our dean, Professor Zhou Xuedong. This great meeting involved VIP speakers to have presentation. They are Professor Zhou Xuedong, Professor Wang Songling, Professor Guo Chuanbin, Professor Lin Junbin (from Chinese Taiwan), Professor Ximen Yakai and Jin Lijian (Hongkong), Professor Fang Yiru (from Japan), and Professor Chen Hua and Feng Jianquan (from USA). The topics involved “Innovation in Training Pattern of Chinese Stomatological Talents”, “Chinese Criterion of Undergraduate Stomatology Education”, “8 Year Program Stomotology Education in China”, as well as the present and the future of dental education in Chinese Taiwan and/or Hongkong. Further more dental educations in Japan and USA were introduced.
The annual plenary meeting of Committee for Education Affair of Chinese Stomatological Association was held at the same time. Professor Zhou Xuedong, the chairman of the council summarized the previous works and mapped out the future plan.
