International Cooperation Research Center for Oral Disease
In 2012, the International Cooperation Research Center for Oral Disease was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The center relies on the West China School/Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University. The center has signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with more than 10 world-famous universities and scientific research institutions worldwide, and has carried out cooperation and exchanges in scientific research, personnel training, undergraduate education, and hospital management.
The International Cooperation Research Center for Oral Disease has carried out multidisciplinary joint researches on major oral diseases that seriously endanger human health and quality of life such as the pathogenesis and prevention of oral infectious diseases, craniofacial deformity and rehabilitation, oral mucosal carcinogenesis and metastasis, tooth loss and defect repair. The center aims at the frontier of discipline development, focusing on exploring mechanisms of oral diseases and the new technologies for its prevention and treatment in order to making a strong promotion and contribution to the development of national science and technology and the benefit of mankind.
